PRE-CALCULUS

 

Welcome to Ms. Hanafi's PRE CALCULUS.

In this course we will follow up on some of the concepts learned in Algebra 2, such as functions, graphing, and polynomials.  We will also work with some new topics, including trigonometry, and differentiation.  We’ll emphasize problem-solving and practical applications, and we’ll use graphing calculators only. 

Students need to bring to each class meeting:

• Writing utensils (Pencils/pens/eraser/rulers) 

• A  3-ring loose-leaf binder, with paper, for notes, homework, and other class papers

• A Notebook FOR Pre-Calculus ONLY          

Your preparedness and class participation is part of your grade. 

Grading Policies

Tests:                                  60%

Quizzes:                              25%

Homework/Classwork:    15%

Projects: worth as a test

 

Make Up Policies

If you are absent from class, you are required to take make-up quizzes or tests within 3 school days of their return to school.   Students who miss class due to field trips are expected to complete assignments on time along with the rest of the class. 

When a tardy or an absence is unexcused or unverified, no makeup work will be counted – all missing class work, homework, quizzes, and/or tests will earn grades of 0
